Having said that, a 40 minute drive out of Dubai isn't "deep desert" by any stretch of the imagination. It's a tourist friendly 'toe in the water' if you like. I deliberately did not mention the name of the company, because they all did pretty much the same. Search for "Dubai desert safari review", and I'm sure you'll find at least a dozen companies that do exactly the same. Ours was not outstanding, but the spiel was more or less the same for them all.
