“I Blog” group launched on Linked-In

June 27th, 2008 · No Comments

A group for bloggers who also use Linked-in (or Linked-Inners who also blog) was launched today. Members display the “I Blog” icon on their profile:

Linked-In I Blog Group

The idea is to add a dimension to a person’s profile by declaring that they blog, and using the “I Blog” icon.

This is an interesting one for those using their profile as a business resume. Effectively they are allowing those checking them out a glimpse of who they are, as reflected by their writing. Of course this could be a good thing (if their blog is good) or a bad thing (if it’s awful).

Then again, potential employers google your name anyway, so they are quite likely to come across your internet writings anyway.
